Pollen is used as a nutritional supplement, an energy booster, as well as to combat allergies from seasonal local pollen.
We consume our pollen with a spoonful of honey and take a teaspoon every morning.
Others like to sprinkle it on their salad, put it in smoothies, in their yogurt, oatmeal, or just eat it plain.
It has a slight granulated texture, but the flavor is more earthy... like eating fresh produce straight out of the garden. The taste and colors of pollen change throughout the season as the flowers in bloom change.
Bottles of pollen will vary in color, flavor, and texture.
